5 Things You Should Know About The Morbius Movie

Sony Spider-Man Universe, one thing that deserves to be said right now is that Sony is blackmailing the characters from the Spider-Man universe. One of the films directed by sony “Morbius” will soon be released in theaters around the world, unfortunately the reviews obtained on this film are not satisfactory, and fans really hope that this film can offend the character of Spider-Man, as Morbius is known to be one of the anti-heroes. in the world of Spider-man

Morbius (2022) is directed by Daniel Espinosa and stars Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jaref Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. The film tells the story of Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) who is looking for a cure for a disease he has suffered since childhood, in the end he finds a cure for his illness. However, the drug actually made Michael Morbius a vampire who was thirsty for human blood.

As is well known, characters from the Spider-Man comics are currently being worked on by Sony, just look at examples such as Venom which already has two films, there is another Spider-Verse animated film coming in October, Kraven The Hunter, Madame Web which is currently it’s in pre-production, rumors are they might still be working on a Sinister Six movie, and of course Morbius.

Spider-Man in the Morbius Movie?

Unfortunately, in this film, the Spider-Man figure does not appear at all or is mentioned. Even though many Spider-Man fans have speculated that in the  Morbius (2022) film, the Spider-Man character played by Andrew Garfileld or Tobey Maguire will be a cameo character and this will be fan service again, but unfortunately the Spider-Man character did not appear at all.

At this point, it’s still unclear what kind of world Sony is trying to build, but we’ll be seeing a Morbius movie in April 2022.

Before being released on April 1, it would be nice to know 5 things about this Anti-Hero.

Here are 5 things you should know before watching it:

1. Who is Morbius? Nobel Prize in Science

Before being dubbed the “Living Vampire,” Dr. Michael Morbius is a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist, best known for his research on vampire bats.

This he did because his life’s work was dedicated to curing the rare blood condition that was slowly killing him.Using vampire bats and electroshock treatments, he experimented on himself and eventually traded his illness for a curse: the Vampire.

2. The Power of Morbius

He possesses superhuman abilities including increased strength and stamina, self-regeneration, keen senses, and hypnotic powers. It also uses its fangs and claws in close combat and uses its hollow bones to fly.

Unlike vampire characters in movies in general,  Morbius (2022) is immune to garlic, holy water, or religious artifacts. But he has to suck human blood like vampires in general, the longer he doesn’t drink blood the weaker his physical and mental condition becomes.

3. Hero or Assassin

At first he started life in the comics as an antagonist, but lately Morbius is considered an anti-hero. As it is known that he sucks human blood, but he vows to only drink the blood of corrupt or guilty people.

4. Even vampires have enemies

In the comics, Morbius has found himself at odds with superheroes, he made his first appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #101 where he faced off against Spider-Man and Lizard. Because Sony doesn’t really own the rights of all characters in Spidey’s world, Loxias Crown aka Hunger will later become the antagonist in this film, as is known from the trailer.
