Comedian Pete Davidson will star in the horror film The Home. In the film, Pete will play the character of Max, a troubled man who works in a nursing home. He then realizes that there is a sinister secret among the residents and caregivers of the nursing home. As he investigates the forbidden building and fourth floor, he discovers the mystery behind his past as an adopted child.
Reported by Deadline on Wednesday (12/1) United States time, director James DeMonaco was confirmed to be directing this film. Bill Block and Sebastian K. Lemercier of Miramax will produce the film.
James DeMonaco is not a new name in the realm of Hollywood horror films. He is best known through the film franchise The Purge. DeMonaco has written five The Purge films and directed three of them.
Pete Davidson also gets a new challenge through this horror thriller. The reason, he is more involved in the line of Hollywood comedy. Currently Pete is a member of the Saturday Night Live TV program. His career as an actor also soared when he became the main character for the film The King of Staten Island.
Recently, Pete made a scene on social media after reportedly dating Kim Kardashian. Miramax Films itself is an entertainment company that has produced many popular films. A total of 94 films have been recorded, including Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Good Will Hunting, to the recently released Halloween Kills.
Production on The Home will begin later this month. However, there is no further information regarding the release date or the other cast members.
