The nominations for the 2022 Oscars were announced on 22 February celebrating a range of movie talent. Set to take place in a matter of weeks, actors will assemble at the 94th awards ceremony on 27 March at the Hollywood & Highland Centre, where the winners of each category will be unveiled. Javier Bardem, Andrew Garfield and Will Smith are among the actors in the running for Best Leading Actor, with Olivia Colman, Penélope Cruz and Kristen Stewart nominated for Leading Actress. Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog, which has already taken the Bafta awards by storm, has also led nominations for the 2022 Oscars by racking up a total of 12 nominations. So with the Oscars ceremony round the corner, here’s the full list of nominations, when it will be broadcast and how to watch it.
When are the 2022 Oscars?
The 2022 Academy Awards will award winners on Sunday 27 March, after it was delayed due to clashes with the American Football Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics.
Where can I watch the 2022 Oscars?
Meanwhile temporary channel Sky Cinema Oscars will broadcast it for British viewers. Because last year’s ceremony was delayed by two months due to Covid-19, the eligibility window for entrants has had to be narrowed down slightly to 10 months rather than a full year.
