Upcoming Box Office Movie: The Marvels, Black Panther, The Batman, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Everything to Know About

Marvel Studios has already released five movies, Many of Marvel’s forth coming productions have official launch dates, though some key releases are ambiguous for now.

Marvel movies and indeed comic book movies in general are about to get a whole lot more marvelous. DC’s Captain Marvel, better known to moviegoers as “Shazam,” has his own super-powered family coming back in the sequel, “Shazam: Fury of the Gods.” But if you’re a Marvelite, you may be thinking, “I don’t care about DC. Make mine Marvel!”

The Marvels, Release Date and Where You Can Watch It?

The date of the release of the upcoming MCU sequel is on 11 November 2022 and fans are eagerly waiting for the release of this show, and its production timeline and release could always be affected by the pandemic or Disney’s ever-changing release strategy. However, unless its Mickey Mouse-eared distributor alters its plans, you should be able to see “The Marvels” on the big screen before Thanksgiving 2022, with a Disney+ and VOD/home media release soon to follow (most likely in early 2023, unless they decide to shorten its theatrical window).

Marvel movies DC League of Super-Pets streaming and indeed comic book movies in general are about to get a whole lot more marvelous. The contents of The Marvels are largely a mystery, but the limited information about Nia DaCosta’s MCU debut has definitely been getting the fandom hyped. Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will be paired with two more female heroes, namely WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, following her Disney+ series. The movie’s title certainly seems to imply that it’s more of an ensemble project, and it should be interesting to see how this trio of heroes ultimately works together.

Given how much strength training Brie Larson has been doing from her massive home gym, I’m also eager to see how Captain Marvel’s action sequences go down. Perhaps this work has prepared her grueling aspects of the job like fight choreography and wire work. Overall it looks like The Marvels has a lot going for it, and could really broaden the larger MCU.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Release Date and Where You Can Watch It?

A new report of actors expressing anti-vaccination views on sets states that Letitia Wright is supporting said beliefs on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set. Plot details regarding the second installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise are currently being kept under wraps, with co-writer/director Ryan Coogler having taken the past year to readjust the story following Chadwick Boseman’s passing from colon cancer. The film will see the returns of Black Panther stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Wright, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett.

No additional details were given by Walsh about how Eternals might tie into Wakanda Forever, and because this is an unconfirmed claim about the two films, make sure to take it with a pretty hefty grain of salt for the time being. That said, we have a theory.

Perhaps the most poignant Marvel film currently in production, and with good reason. Black Panther’s MCU journey will continue without the iconic Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in August 2020 after a four-year battle with cancer.

With Marvel Studios choosing not to recast T’Challa in honor of Boseman’s portrayal, Wakanda Forever’s plot has since been reshaped five times by director Ryan Coogler and co-writer Joe Robert Cole. Filming, though, is currently underway on Black Panther 2 streaming, so it seems that the duo have found a way to preserve Boseman’s legacy while moving Black Panther’s story forward.

The Batman Lego sets offer a look at the Riddler before new trailer drop

Paul Dano’s Riddler gets the minifigure treatment

A new trailer is coming for The Batman as part of the DC FanDome livestream this week on October 16 – but before that, Lego has offered an early look at different characters in the film via its range of sets that’ll tie into the Matt Reeves-directed movie.

The sets don’t give anything massively spoiler-y away, but they offer our best look yet at Paul Dano’s depiction of The Riddler in the film. Before we get to the sets themselves, here’s a close up of how Lego has brought the villain to life – next to minifigure versions of Robert Pattison’s Batman and Jeffrey Wright’s Jim Gordon:

This isn’t a leak, mind – you can go look at the set, known as The Riddler Face-Off, on Lego’s official website right now. It releases in January, a couple of months before the movie Doctor Strange 2: nel Multiverso della Pazzia streaming.

The costume tallies with the brief glimpse we got of the character during last year’s The Batman trailer, where the costume appeared to be handmade, with glasses, a raincoat and a mask of sorts. The look of the character, combined with The Riddler’s use of what appeared to be a cypher code in the film, led to comparisons with the real-life Zodiac Killer.

It tallies with the more realistic vibe of the costumes worn by Batman and Catwoman in the film, which is set during the second year of the Dark Knight’s career and is expected to be more of a noir-like detective movie.

Check out the full suite of sets below, which don’t reveal much more about the film Venom – La furia di Carnage streaming, but do offer a better glimpse at the Batmobile than we’ve seen previously.

Analysis: How The Batman can do things differently

Everyone always levels the same complaint at Batman stories: how many times can we see the Waynes die in Crime Alley? It’s a specific point about how frequently Batman’s origin has been repeated across various media, but it also speaks to the wider omnipresence of the Dark Knight in media – and how easy it is for it to feel like you’ve seen everything before when it comes to the Caped Crusader on the big screen.

If you saw last year’s trailer for The Batman streaming, it’s hard not to see too much of Nolan’s films in what Matt Reeves has come up with – that started with a ‘back to basics’ approach in giving viewers more of a real-world setting. In fairness, they’re simply both drawing from the same well of credible Batman stories in the comics as influences, like The Long Halloween and Year One. These tell more ground-level Batman tales which suit a movie.

The Batman can differentiate itself from the Nolan movies by truly focusing in on the detective elements of the character. That’s why The Riddler is a good choice for a villain – he’s all about obfuscation and thinking he’s smarter than the people trying to catch him. If Dano’s villain ends up going down the serial killer route, that would be a perfect MO.

In the comics, The Riddler (or Edward Nygma) is often depicted as a villain who’s too readily underestimated. In the comic Hush, for example, one of the best-selling Batman stories of the past two decades, he’s the ultimate mastermind behind a massive plot against the Dark Knight – moving pieces on the board like the Joker, Poison Ivy and even Superman while hiding in plain sight.

In the 2013 comic Year Zero, he has Gotham City in his total grasp, turning the city into an overgrown nightmare. In the 2017 comic The War of Jokes and Riddles, he battles with The Joker for supremacy over Gotham’s underworld – positioning him as the equal of Batman’s most famous villain.

If all you know about this character is from Jim Carrey’s appearance in Batman Forever, then, you’ve only really scratched the surface of what he’s about. In the right hands, he could leave the same impact as so many of the Dark Knight’s past iconic on-screen opponents.

What is the cast for Halloween Kills?

It wouldn’t be a Halloween movie without Jamie Lee Curtis and, as expected, she reprises her role as Laurie Strode for the fifth time in the franchise.

Alongside her will be Judy Greer as Strode’s daughter and Andi Matichak as her granddaughter. Both starred in the 2018 film alongside her and return to their roles.

Also returning are Will Patton as Frank Hawkins and Nick Castle will continue in his role as masked super-villain Michael Myers.

After the success of the last Halloween film in 2018, the iconic slasher is back for one more battle and, with the final trailer being revealed earlier this week, horror fans are dying to head back to Haddonfield, Illinois to watch Halloween Kills streaming the latest instalment in the evergreen series. The 12th movie in the franchise is set for release next month and the new trailer shows the film will be a direct sequel to the hit 2018 film, which raked in a mammoth $255.6 million at the box office
